Valencia de Alcántara
Second half of October
It is a gastronomic event that invites you to taste traditional Extremadura cuisine mixed with the tastes and scents of Alentejo cuisine, including shepherd, hunting and convent cuisine.
The programme is always filled with a myriad of varied activities, aimed at disseminating the riches and peculiarities of local cuisine.
The traditional Spanish and Portuguese International Tagus agri-food fair includes cooking workshops for families and general audiences, show-cooking, cheese tasting and the “Semana de la Tapa Otoñal” (autum tapa week), where several local establishments participate offering exquisite dishes based on Extremadura and Alentejo cuisine, which is so typical of this International Tagus region.
In addition to the strictly gastronomic activities, you cannot miss the guided tours, parades, children’s activities and the celebration of the International Tagus Folk Festival.
You are a lover of bordering cuisine and International Tagus, and especially if you are a good cook and want to learn how to prepare these dishes.
